The drawings on this page are from a wide range of years and found in all sorts of places. Some are in my sketchbooks, some are on my notes from various classes, some were commissioned, some for fun, some for practice, some as gifts, and some just for the sake of trying to remember to draw more often.

![]() I made a cake for a birthday and the cake didn't come out quite as planned. However, I thought the results would be fun to draw and exaggerate, so now the Strawberry Cake Monster exists. | ![]() This is based off of a photo I took of my husband, then boyfriend, while we were traveling in Washington. He was hamming it up and I love the photo. I'm not 100% confident with colored pencils so this was an attempt at layering and trying for vibrant colors using the slow build. | ![]() This is also based off of a photograph that I took. A friend and I at work decided to prank coworkers with the skeletons and leave them in odd classrooms in weird situations. For this drawing I used colored pencils and was trying for a softer look while working with the highlights and shadows of white objects. |

![]() I suck at drawing cats. So every once in awhile I try to draw cats again. Mostly with results that are fine at best. This one is not the most successful, but I like that it is whimsical. I tried layering the background but am not happy with how it turned out. Colored pencils are fun, but I have a lot more work to do to become as skilled as I'd like to be. | ![]() | ![]() |
