DIGITAL ART

The photographs may take a while to load due to the amount and size of the included photographs.

I took one class on digital art at CSUSB quite a while ago. It is definitely not my strong suite. However, it is a skill I would like to get better at. I have gained a small amount of skills through my teaching job. I keep being asked to digitally design stuff despite telling everyone I don't have that skill set.

East Jasmine Review Officially Finished Cover

I was asked by a friend to create a cover for the East Jasmine Review, which is an online literary magazine. They wanted orchids and a moonlight scene. So I used the outline of orchids and placed the moonlight scene in the outline. It's definitely not my best work and I had to get a bootleg copy of Photoshop to pull it off. If I redid this now, I feel I could do a much better job. But, the people who asked for it liked it and used it.

Hands Background

This was me trying to figure out how to make a single image into a tile-style background for digital use. I never used it as a background, but I do think it's kind of a fun design.

Trying Something New

This was created during COVID while the school buildings were shut down and I had to somehow digitize my entire curriculum with less than 2 weeks notice. It was not easy. I used Google Draw to try to create this digital version of myself to see if it would be something we could use during distance learning. While the project did make the cut, it was a little more difficult than I was expecting. However, I had fun creating this and would Google Draw again if necessary.
